Thank you for your interest in advertising on
Mardi Gras Digest Media. We produce and broadcast across a wide variety of
electronic platforms to be sure to reach our demographic. That section of people
are upwardly mobile professionals, 19 - 65 yrs of age, mostly male, just slightly more white, than any
other race, and affluent, with salaries ranging about $35k to $250k.
For the general public,
the prime times to advertise with us, are the 2 months preceding the season,
( starting around August is great ) then during
the season of 5 months (Coronation/Balls usually start around October, then move
through February), and
immediately afterwards of the Carnival Season,( for one (1) month afterwards, when
captains look to us for reviews). This will almost guarantee your message
will be heard or seen along the entire Gulf Coast of the United States. It is
also the time the magazine will be distributed to the interstate welcome centers
from Huston Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and finally Florida along
the I-10 corridor.
We currently
cater to the home based entrepreneurs, out there with extremely small ad budgets, because
frankly speaking, the large ad agencies, are too busy raking in the big
accounts, to bother with the REAL
businesses out there, that are struggling to make it from start up and need a
break from the high overhead. These small businesses do need advertising, yet need to get the word out about their
products, at bargain basement prices.
However, with over 175,000 visits
during the off season, we will soon begin marketing the site for the first time
ever, starting with the 2010 Carnival and looking to attract over 650,000
visitors for the first season during which we advertise. Our marketing and heightened public awareness
campaign will increase our visibility to the world and ensure over 1.75 million
visitors to the site per year.
You NEED TO TAP INTO THIS TRAFFIC!
Utilizing our unique platform, of
4 concerns, with an effort looking to retain approximately 77% of our
audience, with LIVE Video, LIVE RADIO, our own productions, LIVE and taped interviews,
with Carnival Royalty, music legends, and much more. We will also continue to
produce much more educational programs and more!

Mardi Gras Digest ™
Magazine
Mardi
Gras Digest Magazine is the answer the call for an industry wide, business
to industry, as well as a, business to
public periodical that looks to disseminate valuable, time saving,
cost saving, information to the industry
as a whole, and, to
it's fan base, we now present the grass roots publication,
entitled, Mardi Gras Digest Magazine.
This
new Carnival / Mardi Gras Magazine, was proposed by some inside leaders of the
industry as a badly needed component, a vehicle,
as it were, to perform certain duties, such as, put out the
call for volunteers, alert vendors to new opportunities, and to gather reports
from others, who seek to identify and resolve issues and offer working
solutions, to actual and/or long standing problems.
Just as the reveler's have, the infamous, Mardi Gras Guide as their program, to
the two week celebration, this magazine would be for the captains, presidents,
and board members of any krewe, or any organization that has the celebration of
Carnival as it's main purpose, to allow them to exchange ideas on what's
happening, known industry problems, and the solutions that are working, for
them, that can be used in other venues as well .

Because
of our forced relocation, the planned Video Programs that were scheduled to
begin this month have been postponed! Mardi Gras Digest has
resumed internet operations, we are currently working to print the first issue of
our magazine, and finally Internet streaming
broadcasts.
We apologize for the delay, however, these delays are totally
unavoidable. We will resume preparations as soon as we possibly can. Our
new deadline for getting up and running in the video programming department is
now sometime in October 2010, so we can be web casting on a 18 hour day by
Carnival 2011

Frequently Asked
Questions |
| Q. When is the
absolute best time to advertise on the Digest website? |
| A.
The absolute best time is from April to July! If you
want to reach the Krewes. This is when captains, presidents and boards are
beginning their annual planning, formulating themes and weighing options
available to them. This is the best
time you need to be in front of them!
If you want more business, that time
switches to August to March.
|
| Q. I need
to advertise to my home town and the immediate metro area around me! How
can you help me there? |
| A.
The specific bureaus of the site help to localize
the ad and zero in on your core market. However, why limit yourself,
thousands of others outside your base area will see your ad and may decide
it's time for a change in Float builders, dress makers or bead suppliers.
Shop across state lines for the BEST deal for you! |
| Q. Why are there ads on your site now? |
A.
The ads are the only source of revenue our Web site
has. Without them, we would not exist. Our site has become very large and
handles a lot of traffic each day. It is very expensive to maintain. We
also spend a lot of time (and money) fighting off companies that try to
steal our content or doing the research and travel necessary to
write the many stories, we do accurately.
One of the things that makes our country great is a free press, supported
almost entirely by advertising. |
| Q. As
an advertiser, how do I know if my banner ad is appropriate?
|
| A.
If the creation that you want
served on our website is not meeting with the size, format or creative
specifications, we shall contact you immediately. If we see where you can
do something better we'll also give you a call! |
| Q. Does
Mardi Gras Digest .com accept advertising on an exclusive basis? |
| A.
We do offer and accept exclusive
advertising contracts. Also, we do provide exclusive sponsorship of
specific categories, for limited time periods or we can offer permanent
ads for discounted prices . |
| Q. What
is sponsorship? |
| A.
Sponsorship of specific content
areas allows an advertiser to display a logo and/or banner for a
predetermined period of time regardless of number of page impressions or
clicks generated. Sponsorships are ideal for branding marketing
strategies. Be sure to see our Sponsorship
packages to the left, near bottom. |

Digest .com? |
