They stayed because
this is their home and as far as they were concerned they didn't, they
couldn't fit into any other city except New Orleans. "We made
it through that water", says Ellis Joseph, only to come home and
have to wait for things to return to some kind of normal. It would be
months before that happened and until then life continued. 
It was at that time, when
Mr. Joseph decided he would form him own brass band and put out the call
for fellow musicians to join him.
As he would come to call
himself and the others from at least 9 by the count from other brass

The brass band is committed to bringing the genre of
Brass Band music, national. Their flavor is a mixture of hip hop and
traditional music fused to developed a newer brand.
When asked where they see themselves five years from
now, the group said they don't want to just take songs and just make
music, they want to keep it real, keep it on a positive level, and keep
playing that positive message.

They have an album called "Free Agents Music",
with about 11 tracks, with the title track entitled, " We made it
through that water".
They apparently truly value their, "free Agent
status", because they have not allied themselves with any one or
group of SA&PC so far. Nor have they relied on any outsiders to
write their music
